A person throws a 1 kg ball at a wall with a speed of 30.0 m/s. The ball rebounds off the wall with exactly the same speed it struck with. Another person throws a 1 kg putty ball at the wall, also at 30 m/s. The putty, however, sticks to the wall and does not bounce off. a. Calculate the impulse delivered by the wall to the ball, including direction. b. Calculate the impulse delivered by the wall to the putty, including direction. c. Why are the two values different?
