y=2x

to graph the line we need two points

put x=0

y=2(0)

y=0

.

first point is (0,0)

put x=1

y=2(1)

y=2

.

second point is (1,2)

.

draw a line between these 2 points

.1 (0,0)

here

g(x)=2x-5

g(x)=f(x)-5

.

so here graph of f(x) is shifted down by 5 units

.so graph of g(x) is

-4
