Preparing for a chem clep test. I need to draw the lewis dot structure for TeF, only I'm not sure how that would work. Here is the problem in its entirety:

Which of the following diatomic molecules contains the bond of greatest polarity?

a) CH4

b) BrI

c) ClF

d) P4

e) TeF

The answer is e, but I don't know why.

Lewis dot structures illustrate a covalent bond in which atoms SHARE electrons. So the line in Te-F means two electrons, and you count twice - there are two electrons the Te orbital and two in the F. The compound of Te and F that forms are TeF2, TeF4 and TeF6. Lewis structure of all three are in image.
