Answer #1

Equivalent Resistance is given by, \frac{1}{R_{eq}} = \frac{1}{R_1} + \frac{1}{R_2}

Rearranging : R_{eq} = \frac{R_1 R_2}{R_1 + R_2}

Substituting : R_{eq} = \frac{6*3}{6 + 3} = 2 \Omega \rightarrow Answer

Answer #2

1/Req = 1/R1 + 1/R2 = 1/6 +1/3 =0.5

1/0.5 = 2 ohms
