The linear regression equation is Y = 7 + 2.0t

Where Y = Estimate of the energy cost in year t and t is the sequential number of year

So for the 5th year, t= 5

Therefore the energy cost for the fifth year = 7 + 2.0t = 7 + (2.0 × 5) = 7 + 10 = 17 million dollar
