Answer #1

"Is the fetus human life (fully human but not fully developed) or the fetus a mass of tissue, an appendage to the mothers body?"

Taking a stand is a bit difficult task here, both the conditions are complicated. A mother is bringing a new life, she is responsible for its well being, she has to bear the fetus for 9 months before it comes to the earth, she has to bear the pain of labour, so in this sense she has the right to choose whether to bring the fetus in light or not. But in the other way what is the fault of the fetus, it didn't asked to bring it or conceive it, the parents should have taken precaution or atleast have taken oral contraceptives which can work even after 72 hours of copulation. So even after that much of facilities and these facilities are now a days available to all and are cheap in comparison to abortion. Then why the need of abortion, why to kill a potential life.

In the second month where most of the abortion takes place the heart starts beating, arms, legs, fingers, toes, ears, nose, mouth, muscles, organs, and bones are almost formed, the brain starts generating brain waves. then what is the difference between a living person and a fetus? If we consider being alive or being human need to have a element called as conciousness, then how can we justify a sleeping or anesthetized or comatose person be human? they should be then non human entity a mass of flesh and bone which can disposed off at anyone's will. Is it acceptable at any reasoning? If not then what is the difference between such a person and a fetus?

And as for development, if we consider the fetus is not a human because it is not developed then a person can not be called as human untill 25 years of age as a normal human brain continues to develop till 25. So by the age of 25 a human being can be disposed off as a fetus? If we consider that the fetus is dependent on its mother than what about a 2 or 3 week baby, it is also dependent on its mother so then by the logic of dependency we can't consider a baby of 2-3 week baby a human too.

Take any aspect to counter that a fetus is not a human it is bound to fail as it is as human as we are. It has body appendages as we have, it is developing also a teen of 15-16 years, the heart beats as ours, it needs nutrition as we do, it is dependent on its mother as a baby of 2-3 weeks, it has a genome as we have, it is made up of cells and tissues as we are. So in every case a fetus is a human and killing it should be considered as killing a normal person atleast at present day where medical technology is so much advanced that a pregnancy can be avoided very easily.
