Assume air resistance can be neglected Stu's initial speed is 15.91 m/s and Lou's initial speed is 20.28 m/s. Stu leaves the cannon at an angle of 64.8° and Lou leaves the cannon at an angle of 35.1°. As usual, the angles are measured upwards from the positive-x (horizontal) direction What is the difference between the time Stu is in the air and Lou is in the air? In other words, calculate: Your answer should be in seconds to at least three significant digits to avoid being counted incorrect due to rounding. We know that time of flight (for projectile motion) t_f = 2 mu sin alpha/g when alpha projected angle and u initial velocity t_f = 2 times (15.91) sin (64.8)/9.8 t_f = 2.9379 m/s t_f = 2 times (20.28) sin (35.1)/9.8 t_f = 2.3798 sec delta t = - t_f = 0.558/sec delta t = 0.558 sec
