oxidation sate of Sr on reactant side is = 0

oxidation sate of Sr on product side is = +2

So, Sr is oxidised

oxidation sate of Cl on reactant side is = 0

oxidation sate of Cl on product side is = -1

So, Cl is reduced

Answer: Cl
