Epistemic cognition -

Epistemic cognition refers to the process of thinking about one's forms of knowledge and ways of knowing. ... Metacognition -

Metacognition is defined as the scientific study of an individual's cognitions about his or her own cognition,it is a mental process that include memory, attention, producing and understanding language, reasoning, learning, problem-solving and decision making.

Epistemology helps people to think about life experiences that lead to well-being. Epistemology, when properly defined, is based on reasoning, which is the method for acquiring knowledge. In turn, knowledge pertains to the facts that are absolute and can never be false

Some everyday examples of metacognition include: awareness that you have difficulty remembering people's names in social situations. reminding yourself that you should try to remember the name of a person you just met.
