answer-
When in an organization, there is IT change like new information system is implemented then there is situation that users or employees will be hesitated or resist to use the new system because of unknown to new system, lack of knowledge and habit to use old system then the new change can lead to implementation failure because of user or employee resistance so in this condition management can use following strategies to reduce or overcome user resistance in the organization and make IT implementation successful.
a-provide the training to users-
This is one of the most effective and used strategy by organization in which when there is new system is implemented and users has lack of knowledge how to use new system then training will help the users to get acquainted with the new IT system. providing training to employees will help to learn the features and functions of new system and remove the insecruity and any other feeling which cause resistance.
b- Establishing user support services
In this strategy, an expert should be at workplace who can support the users when they face any difficulties in using the new system. providing user support will motivate users to learn from their mistakes and failures and nerver repeat them again.
c-Praise the users for using new system-
giving praises and recognition to users who effectively accept and use the new system will help to encourage other employees to use the new system and show high performance and reduce user resistance at workplace.
d- Encouraging open communication between management and employees -
the new system implemented can be accepted if there is open communication between employees and management that if there is any issue then both can talk and come up with solution.for example Incorporating user participation into the design process or taking their views how to make new system more effective or add what functions etc.
so all these above strategies will help to make IT implementation successful and remove user resistance.
