Answer #1

1. Radius of curvature of cpnvex spherical mirror, R = 29 cm

so f = 29/2 = 14.5 cm

a. u = -16.5 cm

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

1/v = 1/14.5 + 1/16.5

v = 7.7177 cm

magnification

m = -v/u = -7.7177/(-16.5) = 0.4677

as the magnification is +ve, the image is upright

b. u = -59.5 cm

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

1/v = 1/14.5 + 1/59.5

v = 11.658 cm

m = -v/u = 0.195

as ther magnification is +ve, the image is upright
