Answer #1

f(x) = -0.4x^3 - 0.6x^2 + 4x - 6

-5 -4 -3 (1.393, -2.673) -5 (-2.393, -13.527)

local maximum is y = - 2.76 occurs at x = 1.39

local minimum is y = -13.53 occurs at x = -2.39
