Answer #1

Since the question here asked is about the procedure to protect ignition of combustion,so you have to be known somegeneral aspects related to this.

# The burning material can be divided in to two groups.

Such as

i)Flammable

ii)Combustible fluids

They are divided as such on the basis of their FLASH POINT(It is the lowest temperature at which the liquid gives off enough vapor to be burned) But these flammable and combustible liquids are not burnt but it is the mixture of their air and vapors that burn.

Combustible liquids have the ability to ignition(catch on fire) at temperature that is usually above working temperature. Hence combustible liquid has a flash point at or above 37.8'C (degree centigrade)/100'F and below 93.3'C( 200'F).

Fuels and many common products like solvents, thinners, cleaners, adhesives, paints, waxes, and polishes may be used as combustible liquids which are generally used in almost every workplace.

Sometime AUTO IGNITION(ignition temperature at which a material self ignites without any obvious sources of ignition)

i.e,spark (or) flame.

Combustible liquids have a auto ignition temperature in the range of 300'C(527'F) TO 550'C(1022'F).Sometime very low auto ignition temperature also found.

It can cause hazards. The most obvious harm would be the danger of fire or explosion.Besides this it can also cause health problems depending on the specific materials and route of exposures.Generally vapors are heavier than air and may spread long distances which may cause distant ignition and flash back (it is a travel back which means Vapors nearly all combustible liquids are heavier than air,if ventilation is inadequate these vapors can settle and collect in low area like sumps, sewers, pit, trenches and basement).Mild central nervous systems depressant, head ache, nausea, dizziness, incoordination and confusions and also it may irritating respiratory tracts.

So every one who work with these liquids must be aware of their hazards and work safely with them.

Let back to the question

QUESTION NO:4

Ans:Since every workers should have aware of these and have proper knowledge about it.

Hence the option C is correct i.e, all the staff members are trained in the use of appropriate to handling of any radio active materials.

QUESTION NO:5

Ans:No,It is false

It should not be impossible but should be mandatory to provide such ventilation, airline respirators, and hose mask  approved for the purpose of OSHA(Occupational Safety and Health Administration).

OSHA,which is responsible for protecting workers health and safety in US.In order to ensure the safe and healthy working conditions for workers by enforcing workplace laws and standard and also by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.

QUESTION NO:6

Ans:Empty oxygen cylinders must have their valves closed.

Empty cylinders with open valves can breathe.Temperature drops or increases in atmospheric pressure can cause air to be drawn in through the open valve.

So it is strongly suggest by OSHA,that cylinder valve should be closed before removing the gas discharge equipments.
