Answer #1

1). When we use blue light in young double slit experiment a central bright band with alternating dark and bright bands on either side is produced. This is because as blue light is a monochromatic light which produced bright fringe at centre kniwn as central bright fringe and then dark fringe on both sides, then again bright fringe on either side and this goes on alternatively. Ans=>D

2). Spectrum color observed when sunlight falls on a oily film because reflected light from the different place of the film cause interference which produced bright and dark spectrum. Ans=>V

Suppose Young's double slit experiment is performed in air using red light and the interference pattern is shown on a screen. You then submerge the entire setup into water. What happens to the interference pattern? It disappears. The bright fringes are farther apart. The bright and dark fringes stay in the same locations but the contrast is reduced. No change happens in the interference pattern. The bright fringes are closer together.
