b)
Number of electron in Cl = 17
Electronic configuration is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p5
Since charge on Cl is +3
So, we need to remove 3 electrons
Electrons are always removed from highest number orbital
Removing 3 electron from 3p
Final electronic configuration is : 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p2

c)
Number of electron in P = 15
Since charge on P is -3
So, we need to add 3 electrons more
Number of electrons to be arranged = 18
Electronic configuration is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6
