Dear Student

First we need to understand the concept of CSR for a better understanding. CSR is Corporate Social Responsibility is a managerial concept dealing with social ethics where a particular company has some social, economic and environmental responsibilities.

The CSR has a positive effect on the employees as well as the society. CSR can enhance public image and reputation of a company. It can also increase the customer's faith and may lead to increase in sales. A strong CSR may help to hold its employees and they may not split into other companies.

Let's talk about Facebook(CEO Mark Zuckerberg) and discuss a few of its CSR activities. It is noted that they do not publish CSR Reports but they do have a dedicated website which highlights its responsibilities towards the employees and the society.

They believe sustainability is about more than operating responsibly. It’s an opportunity to support the communities we’re a part of and make a positive impact on the world.

Climate change is one of the most urgent issues facing our world today. That’s why they work to minimize energy, emissions and water impact, protect workers and the environment in our supply chain, and partner with others to develop and share solutions for a more sustainable world beyond our operations.

They have science-based target to reduce their operational greenhouse gas emissions by 75% in 2020, from 2017 levels. In 2018, operations achieved 75% renewable energy and a 44% reduction in GHG emissions.

FB has an employee satisfaction rate of above 93% because they provide better pay scale and good work culture.

Proper health and Hygiene is maintained in the office premises. Gender Equality is also seen as a major concern.

Do well and by doing good, yes Facebook is one of the highly profitable companies and they have a good market reputation. It has become a necessity in the daily lives of the individuals where social networking has become a necessity in people's life.

Thanks!
