An AC voltage source has a maximum voltage ?Vmax = 10M + 80 V connected to a resistor R = 10J – G ?. Find the rms voltage ?Vrms and the rms current Irms in the resistor.
We know that
Vmax = Vrms*(sqrt 2)
So,
Vrms = Vmax/sqrt 2
Given that Vmax = (10M + 80) V
Vrms = (10M + 80)/(sqrt 2) = 0.707*(10 M + 80)
Vrms = (7.07*M + 56.56)
Now
Irms = Vrms/R
R = (10J - G) ohm
So,
Irms = [(7.07*M + 56.56)/(10J - G)] Amp
Let me know the values of M, J and G to Calculate the values of Irms and Vrms.
