Assuming no evaporation , what error is introduced if the water is warmed after being delivered into the flask but prior to weighing? Explain.
By just warming water, assuming no evaporation will not cause
any mass change (assuming no or negligible dissolved gases).
But it could change the same things:-
1. Could cause precipitation of salts (exp. CaCO3) present in it
when it is cooled down.
2. Change in concentration of salts dissolved in water could alter the melting and boiling point.
3. Now its temperature is elevated molecules of water are moving colliding at a much faster speed, thus H-bondings are weaker or we could say less effective causing some decrease in its viscosity.
4. Refractive index could also change to some extent.
5. Less no of H-bonds that means less attraction between molecules can cause increase in volume but that will be very small change.

A 2.74 g sample of a substance suspected of being pure gold is warmed to 72.1 °C and submerged into a 15.2 g of water initially at 24.7 °C. The final temperature of the mixture is 26.3 °C. What is the heat capacity of the unknown substance? Could the substance be pure gold?
3.59 g of water was introduced into an evacuated 1.50 L flask at 30C. what mass of water will evaporate? vapor pressure of water is (31.82 mmHg) please help me answer this question.
1) What error is introduced in determining the Rf value if the solvent is allowed to run after it reaches the height of the TLC plate? 2) What problem will occur if the pool of solvent (mobile phase) is at the level of the sample spots on the TLC plate?
An object weighing 336 N in air is immersed in water after being tied to a string connected to a balance. The scale now reads 256 N. Immersed in oil, the object appears to weigh 277 N. (a) Find the density of the object _______ kg/m3 (b) Find the density of the oil. ________kg/m3
These questions relate to ion chromatography to investigate water quality issues. What is the purpose of making a 0 μM solution that contains no NaF? Why would we want to run a 0 μM sample in the Ion Chromatograph instrument and graph it on a calibration curve? Could you have made the most dilute 10.0 μM solution from weighing solid NaF and adding it to the 200.00 mL volumetric flask with water? Calculate the mass of NaF that would be...
Assuming ideal gas behavior, calculate delta H in cal/mol for the combustion of benzoic acid. What is the percentage error introduced in the assumption that delta H = delta E in this case? Does the delta H value refer to the initial or final temperature? Explain.
please help!
3) Practice tice problem 1. When drinking water treatment plants chlorinate water, the chlorine must remain in contact with the water for at least 30 minutes before being delivered to customers. A water plant operator wishes to know i his existing 10,000-gallon storage tank can provide this HRT. He does a wash-out tracer test with fluoride salt (conservative). The initial concentration is i2 mg/L and after an hour of feeding non-fluoridated water through the tank at 20 gpm,...
