a) The p value here is the p given here: p= 0.1168855111. It is calculated such that P(Z<2.61) using the standard normal table.

b) We reject null hypothesis if p value, p<0.05. Since here p value,p = 0.117 <0.05 we reject the null hypothesis that average gas price in Massachusetts is lower than the national average.

c) Therefore the average price in Massachusetts is significantly lower than the national average 2.61.
