The induced current in the closed loop is largest when the rate of change on magnetic flux linked with the loop due to the change in magnetic field through it by the movement of magnet is maximum.

A)

vm = velocity of magnet relative to loop = v - (- v) = 2 v

B)

vm = velocity of magnet relative to loop = 3v - 2 v = v

C)

vm = velocity of magnet relative to loop = 2v - (v/2) = 1.5 v

D)

vm = velocity of magnet relative to loop = 2v - 2v = 0

Since the relative velocity is maximum in case A, hence the induced emf is maximum in case A
