1. Perch are invasive species and they can easily outcompete other species and organisim for food and space, so they can be introduced into any habitat. They have high rate of reproduction. also perch do not have any special requirements for the habitat, so they can survive in any habitat.

2. In winters, perch Juvenile as well as adults move below the ice layer of water, or towards deeper pool because all other fishes on which perch prey upon in present below and water is more suitable.

3. Since perch act as both prey and predator in the ecosystem, it is quite important for maintenance of food chain. It also keep a check on prey population. And since so many of perch are present throughout the year, they are of huge economic importance to human also.
