Answer #1
  • It is important to seek multiple view points on a subject since it helps in critical thinking and provide a perspective from different angles.Different viewpoints helps to analyse the subject in detail and also dive deep into more knowldege about the subject.Multiple viewpoints also helps to apply the subject in different settings and understand its functioning.
  • Having multiple viewpoints also helps to solve problems related to a subject by analysing different solutions and even discovering novel ones. As you make connections and ask questions in response to what you read, you monitor your comprehension and enhance your long-term understanding of the material.
  • It can be very uninteresting to always think the same way, which is why multiple viewpoints help to make subject interesting and maybe find something new along the way.
  • For example, mental disorders should not only be studied from a psychological viewpoint, because thats uninteresting and cliche. To get more knowledge, social, cultural, historical viewpoints, talking to people who are not professionals in the field, but can throw light on the subject from their experiences etc. will help to critically understand it.
