Let recall some basic concept related to the given problem i.e

  • Species undergoing change in oxidation number i.e if the oxidation number of that species increases means it will oxidised on the other if the oxidation number decrease the species is reduced.
  • If the species is oxidised it will act as reducing agent and if the species is reduced it will acts as oxidising agent.

The species having higher value of standard reduction potential is acts as cathode and relatively less is anode.
