if a 224 virtual address space is mapped to 16 KiB (214bytes) pages, the number of virtual pages is 210 = (224 / 214)

= 1024 pages.

Since each entry into this page table has an address of size (24/8)3 bytes, then we have 2^10*3 = 3kB. So the page table takes up 3kB in memory.
