A)

NaCl will have higher melting point as compare to NaI because melting point of a compound depends on lattice energy and lattice energy depends on two factors size and charge since the charge on all four ions are same i.e. one charge..so we will consider size and size has a inverse relation with lattice energy size.

So size of Cl ion is less than I ion.

So size less then more lattice energy and more lattice energy means more melting point.

B)

NaCl will have higher melting point as compare to KCl because again lattice energy will only depend on size

Since size of Na ion is lesa than K ion

So less size results in more lattice energy and there fore more melting point.
