as ball lands horizontally after traveling a distance of 30 m

ad there is no acceleration along horizontal direction

30 = vt

t is time of flight of ball = 30/23.2 = 1.29 sec

along vertical direction there is acceleration due to gravity

as initial velocity along vertical direction = 0 m/s

so h = height of building = 0.5 g t2 = 8.19 m
