Answer #1

First signal at chemical shift 1.2 ppm, is for 6H, aliphatic hydrogen, means 2 equivalent CH3 group in compound.

2. Second signal at chemical shift 3.1 ppm is also for 6H, which indicates two more CH3 group attached with oxygen atom, thus this means 2 equivalent OCH3 group.

Now combining above information one can get fallowing compound

(CH3)2C(OCH3)2

6H 6H 3 ppm hence, structure of the compound. 8= 3.1 ppm » - Och X2 (=6H) =) two - och group, equivalent 8= 1.2 ppm ) ~ ~Clly
