mmol/L is unit of molarity. In language it is milli moles per litre. mmol/L means that 1 milli mole of solute is present in 1 litre of solution.

1 milli = 10-3

Therefore,

1 mmol/L = 10-3 mol/L

1 mol/L is equivalent to 1 Molar(M).

Therefore, 1 mmol/L =1 mM = 10-3 M
