Answer #1

Given ,Initial velocity of ball, U=- 6 m/s

Final velocity of ball, V=14 m/s

Mass of the ball,M =0.12 kg

Change in momentum of the ball is

\Delta P= Final momentum- initial momentum

\Delta P=M\ast V-M\ast U

\Rightarrow \Delta P=M\ast(V-U)

\Rightarrow \Delta P=0.12\ast\left \{ 14-(-6) \right \}

\Rightarrow \Delta P=0.12\ast20

\Delta P=2.4 kg.m/s

Answer: option (a) 2.4 kg.m/s
