Given,

refractive index of air n_{air}=1

refractive index of lens n_{lens}=1.67

refractive index of ethanoln_{ethanol}=1.36

When light passes from air to lens it bends more and when it passes from ethanol to lens it bends less and vice-versa. The diffrerence in the refractive index is more for air-lens interface and the difference is less in case of ethanol-lens interface.
