let's understand the molarity of solution

the molarity is defined as

number of mole of solute / volume of solvent ( in Liter)

So,

0.20 M means

0.2 Mole of CaCl2 in 1000 ml of water

or

1000ml of the solution have 0.2 Mole of CaCl2

250 ml of the solution have (0.2 *250) /1000 Mole of CaCl2 = 0.05 Mole of CaCl2
