1) As we can see from the data given for center of plate is curve fitted by linear trendline but all the points doesn't lie on this curve but distributed in the vicinity of it .

So trend in this curve is not linear we have to use other trend like exponential or polynomial.

2)Now we can see that mostly all the data lie in linear trend so this data satisfies linear trend

V = Ax + B

So electric field is

E=-\frac{dV}{dx} =-A

So we get

E = 0.6231 V/cm
