Answer #1

The baby boomer generation was silent generation parent kids. Baby boomer fathers were usually too young to fight in World War II and both parents should have gone through the great depression. This will have had a drastic impact on the principles with which baby boomers had been brought up. Baby boomers were observers to rapid technological growth and have come to understand and embrace it. They saw the space race, the arms race, the transistor's invention, television, the green agricultural revolution and great advances in medicine

Generation X is a sizeably smaller age group than the previous generation of baby boomers. Generation X grew up in the later years of the Vietnam War, Watergate and in the United States during the Reagan and Bush senior period. They were also seeing the end of the Cold War, the rise of globalism, the advent of early home computers, dramatic changes in the advertising industry. Generation X is better educated than its parents are. They became adults in the late 1980s and were characterized as rational, perceptive, intelligent yet amoral and more money-driven than art. Generation X'ers usually earn less than their mothers, yet couples' combined incomes, where the female has her own profession, are more than the baby boomer generation's family incomes.
