the answer is option DBy incorportaing an antibiotic resistance gene to the transformants,we are giving the ability for tem to resist the antibiotic and survive.So when the bacteria are kept in the antibiotic plate,only the recombinants that have confered the antibiotic resistance by succesfully taking up the gene of interest can survive.Thus the non- recombinants can be removed.This allows the selection of recombinants.
