Let p be the fraction of normal males= fraction X+
Let q be the fraction of colourblind males= fraction Xcb out of total pool of X chromosomes.
To make a male, you take 1 X chromome:
~ probability Xcb/Y = q and
X+/Y = p therefore q = 0.08(given) and p = 0.92

For females to be colourblind both X should get affected gene so

Xcb/Xcb = q2 = (0.8)2 = 0.64%

For carrier females only one X should be affected i.e
Xcb/X = 2pq =14.7%
