Some Points about Azimuth :-

i) Azimuth varies from 0^o to 360^o

ii) Azimuth is only measured clockwise .

iii) while measuring Azimuth , Reference direction is north only .

Given Bearing = N 38^o W

So the given bearing can be drawn as ..

N 38 W E Azimuth

So , From the figure Azimuth can be calculated as

Azimuth = 360^o - 38^o = 322^o

N 38o W Bearing = 322o Azimuth

Given Bearing S 27^o E

So the given bearing can be drawn as ..

N Azimuth E W € ** 27

So , From the figure Azimuth can be calculated as

Azimuth = 180^o - 27^o = 153^o

S 27o E Bearing = 153o Azimuth
