Decision Criteria : Reject Ho at 0.1% l.o.s. if p-value <  α

Calculation : T = 62.7, n = 26 & s = 18.4

t cal =  \frac{\bar{x}-\mu}{s/\sqrt{n}}  =  \frac{62.7-50.8}{18.4/\sqrt{26}} = 3.2977 = 3.298

p-value = P( | t | < 3.298 ) = 0.0015

Conclusion : Since p-value is greater than α, we fail to reject Ho at 1% l.o.s. &
As such, the final conclusion is that there is not sufficient sample evidence to support the claim that the population mean is not equal to 50.8.
