Ruth and Gerald are a married couple. Both are in their late 60s. It is likely that as they get older, both Ruth and Gerald will get shorter.

One of the most important things factors that would affect people during the old age is their decreased physical health and bone strength that would make them bent. As people age, they would start losing the strength to stand erect and their skins would wrinkle, leading them to become shorter.
