Ha : u > 82.4

Mean = 85.575

Standard deviation = 6.418

alpha = 0.10

Sample n = 12

Critical value = 1.363

test statistic t = (x - u)/(s/sqrt(n))

substitute values

= (85.575 - 82.4)/(6.418/sqrt(12))

= 1.714

P value = 0.057265

= 0.057

Here we observe that, p value < alpha,

so we reject Ho.

So there is sufficient evidence to support the claim.
