Blind spot is the area where there are no photoreceptors such as rods or cones making it impossible to sense anything. It is located where the axons of the retinal ganglion cells converge before exiting the eye. In order to check blind spot, one needs to close one eye because the edges of the eyes wouldn’t be able to spot a thing when moved away from it or turned away from it.
