Solution :

Given that,

Solution :

Given that,

Z\alpha/2 = Z0.025 = 1.96

Margin of error = E = Z\alpha/2 * ( \sigma /\sqrtn)

= 1.96 * ( 14.3 /  \sqrt40 )

= 4.4

At 95% confidence interval estimate of the population mean is,

\bar x - E < \mu < \bar x + E

201 - 4.4 <  \mu < 201 + 4.4

196.6 <  \mu < 205.4

Z\alpha/2 = Z0.025 = 1.96

Margin of error = E = Z\alpha/2 * ( \sigma /\sqrtn)

= 1.96 * ( 8 /  \sqrt40 )

= 2.5

At 95% confidence interval estimate of the population mean is,

   \bar x  ± E

192 ±   192

(189.5 ,194.5)
