X corresponds to the main effect.Because we are actually looking first whther pets increase the satisfaction or not

Expectation seems to be met because Pet owner(Yes) vs Pet owner(No) shows that M is always high for Yes irrespective of living status.

b)

y would be interaction that what effect if pet owner are alone or not on satisfaction level.

From the data it seems there is an interaction and people not living alone has higher satisfaction then living alone.
