Answer #1

Answer -8

   Given,

   Outside diameter = 500 / 1000 inch = 0.5 inch

   Cotton insulation = 12 / 1000 inch = 0.012 inch

   Rubber insulation = 50 / 1000 inch = 0.05 inch

The diameter of the copper conductor(wire) = Outer diameter - 2 x cotton insulation - 2 x rubber insulation

The diameter of the copper conductor(wire) = 0.5 - 2 x 0.012 - 2 x 0.05

The diameter of the copper conductor(wire) = 0.376 inch = 376 / 1000 inch
