Q) a. Ans - SDRAM i.e synchronous dynamic random access memory is faster than DRAM because its system clock is synchronous with clock speed of CPU of computer at 133 MHz (Mega hertz) .it allows much higher clock speeds ( 3 times) than DRAM.
Q) b. Ans - DDR SDRAM ( Double data rate SDRAM). SDRAM transfers data on one edge only but DDR SDRAM fetches data on both the leading edge and falling edge of clock signal.it can't be faster than doubled because it is synchronized with the clock. We can't manipulate in the clock.
Q) d. Ans - speed - SRAM is faster because it does not need to refresh, thats why it is faster.
Access time of DRAM is about 60 nanoseconds while SRAM has low like 10 nanoseconds.
CAPACITY - SRAM needs more transistor to store data while DRAM module requires only one transitor and one capacitor to store every bit of data. SRAM need 6 transistor for that purpose.
Q1/ a)Why SDRAM is faster than DRAM b)why the speed will not always doubled in DDR...
