Paulo Coelho is a famous Brazilian author born in the year 1947 in Rio de Janeiro who has authored the world-renowned book"The Alchemist". The book was published in the year 1988. This particular book of Paulo Coelho has got only a lukewarm response in its initial years of publishing but later on, it became a mega success that conquered the minds of readers across the globe. The winner stands alone, Eleven minutes, Brida, Maktub, etc are some of the other popular works of Paulo Coelho.

By writing the book "The Alchemist" Paulo Coelho tried to inspire the readers in attaining their goals. He wanted to motivate the readers to follow their dreams. He also made an attempt to convince the readers about the need for shifting their focus from problems to goals.

Paulo Coelho could present his ideas adequately through the book "The Alchemist". He could tell the readers all the important points including the importance of action, dream, hope, etc. He could effectively convey the message that everyone should replace their weaknesses with strength. The popularity of the book is the best evidence that the author could present every point adequately.
