Explain the legal categories of homicide in relation to intimate partner violence.
Homicide in the cases of intimate partner violence or domestic violence have several legal categories, domestic violence basically happens between parents and child or between siblings and between women and family members as well. Whereas, intimate partner homicide can be related to physical abuse, stalking by a former partner, or attempting to murder. In Asia and Africa, the rates are high because women get killed by their partners due to this. In America, it happens with unmarried white women more. Researchers found that abusive partners are either addicted to drinking alcohol or they have a controlling attitude towards their wives and husbands. It turns into a ugly fight when the sufferer decides to take a stand for himself/herself or they want to end the relationship. Though the law related policies against such crimes are there like an instant warrant for arresting the partner and it also provides certain protections to the victims, but mostly the abuser becomes restless seeing such orders. However, warrantless law of arresting such criminals are also there so they can be arrested by the police for violating protection orders. In cases of female abusers they mostly care about the money they claim from their partners, if they don't get it they can be fierce or can physically harm them. AFDC benefits are also there from which an unmaried white woman can get opportunity to live in their own terms.
