It is important to provide unique or innovative benefits, because it not only attracts the top talents, builds employer branding, but also it helps in retaining its top talents, and decrease employees turnover. So, the unique benefits become the point of differentiation from the rival employers and can give competitive advantage when it comes to recruitment of best talents. Besides, it becomes a motivation factor to the employees and they work with more dedication to achieve organizational goals. Therefore, it is important to provide unique and innovative benefits.

When an employer and employee cannot agree on the performance goals, then it can create a standoff between employer and employees. To prevent it, employer should take following initiatives.

1. First initiative is to counsel the employees, find inherent reasons for the disagreement that can be lack of skills, not mentioning of these performance expectations in job ads or in interviews or too big a performance goal to be achieved.

2. Second initiative is to manager or immediate supervisor, organizing training program for the employees, setting up performance goals sot a small time period and bring gradual changes so that the employee agrees upon it and ready to work to achieve these goals. Once the performance goal for a period is achieved, then next goal is set with necessary support to the employees and employee achieves it. It helps build capabilities among the employees to achieve the desired performance goals.

3. Third initiative is to provide different types of incentives, rewards and benefits that can motivate the employee as he or she works to achieve higher performance goals.

Above initiatives help eliminate the standoff towards the performance goals.

The first way to feel employees welcome in the organization is to make the employee become the part of different informal groups where the employee is encouraged to participate and praised for is or her contributions. The second way is to organize family get together program where new employees are introduced and their past achievements are praised. The third pay is to give key responsibilities in those areas that is the expertize of the employee. It will help bring a comfort zone to the employee in the organization and feel better.

Above are some of the ways to make new employees feel welcome.
