1) E) is the patient with normal skin cell mitotic index, as the mitotic index of skin cells is higher than other cells this is because the skin cells come in direct contact with the environment as a result they face a lot of damage and thus have to repair themselves continuously.

But there mitotic and that's is lesser then the mitotic index of Cancer cells.

2) mitotic index = cells in M phase/ total cells

= 5/20 = 0.25, thus 3rd option is the answer.

3) D patient has cancer this is because the mitotic index off patient D is the highest which is only seen in cancerous cells as the cancerous cells divide very fast by Mitosis. So most of the cells are in mitotic phase.
