Estimated standard error,

  s_{M_{1}-M_{2}}=\sqrt{\frac{s_{1}^2}{n_{1}}+\frac{s_{2}^2}{n_{2}}}=\sqrt{\frac{81}{9}+\frac{27}{9}}=\sqrt{\frac{81+27}{9}}=\sqrt{\frac{108}{9}}=\sqrt{12}=3.46

Option (d) 3.46 is correct

t_{(n-1),\alpha}=t_{(8-1),0.05}=t_{7,0.025}=2.365 (Fom t-table)
