can someone help me with this physics Lab Vibrating String Experiment I'm confused please and thank you

Vibrating String Experiment Objective To study the factors affecting the velocity of waves in a stretched string. Apparatus LPart B Leave the hanging mass at 300 g and the distance to the pulley at about 1.5 m, and then adjust the frequency to cause

I have This data for the four-time I did the ExperienceBl port Line Lengths, 1. 8ug 2) 1.5M 1.5M give us 19.43 give us 38.58 Boog 300g 3 a [1.5m 1.5M 78.15 Boog givens 58.42. Poog

Answer #1

frequency, n = P- 2L

T frequencyn P X , T VelocityV and 2L Wavelength P

P=Number of loops , \lambda =wavelength , T=tension , linear density p = L ,   L= total length of the string.

Tension T=mg g=9.8 m/s2

Now we can calculate Velocity (V), wavelength (\lambda) and frequency n.

For two nodes

-2, 2N 슾 IV

T-mg Number of Nodes=2 P=1 l=1.5m m=0.3kg. id=3m T=2.94 N 0.3 M -0.2 Kg.m) V 3.83 m/s Vu n=1.2767HZ

For three nodes

Z NA L.. Z M - I

Number of Nodes - 3 P-9, T=2.94, H=012 x=1.5m V=3.83 n=2.553H2

For four nodes

N N N A M T/ 씨

Number of Hades - 4 x=onson im P=3 n= 3.83 Hz

For five nodes

I TN I / 2y 라 | N NL Z MA I

Number of Nodesas P=4 , x=0.75m n=5.11H2

frequency, n = P- 2L

n2L Terp P

number of node=2 Vexp= 3.828 Hz

number of node=3. Vexp= 3.795 Hz

number of node=4     Vexp= 3.83 Hz

number of node=5    Vexp=3.8325 Hz

Average of Vexp= 3.8215 Hz

But Vth=3.83Hz

pecrcenterror =( Vtn – Verp ) 100 = 22 Vih%

\therefore Percent error in velocity = 22%

    Can someone help me do my prelab please. Thank you. Resonance Pre-Lab Assignment (1 point) Recall from the "Introduction to Waves" lab that it was easy to calculate the harmonic number (n) and wavelength ) of standing waves on a string by counting the number of antinodes 2L/n). That was a system with nodes fixed at the end points. Today you will be working with a system that has one open end and one closed end (i.e. a node fixed...

L = N (l/4), N = 1, 3, 5 …                                                                 (1) Where L is the length of the air column and N is an odd integer. When N = 1, the column has a length one quarter of wavelength with a node at the water surface and an antinode at the opening. Then the wavelength L1= (1/4) l, or l= 4L1.                                                                       (2) When N = 3, with...
